What is a podcast?
Will I need an iPod to listen to podcasts?
No, you do not need an iPod. You will need an mp3 player (audio device that plays digital audio files), but the good news is that your home computer almost certainly qualifies.
As for what a podcast is, it’s a free audio program that — if you subscribe to it — gets delivered to your player on a regular basis.
In our case, we’re talking about episodes of a novel. If you subscribe to The Pulse of Kato Whip, episodes will be downloaded to your computer (or to your iPod or other device) as they become available.
All you have to do is open up iTunes on your computer (or perform a sync if you have an iPod, Zune, iRiver, PSP, etc.) to see if any new episodes have “arrived” (been downloaded for you).
To listen to an episode, you just double-click it.
Interested? Or even a little bit curious? If so, please subscribe to The Pulse of Kato Whip and give it a try. It’s free!
